TOEIC Preparation

TOEIC (Test of English for International Communication) evaluates the ability of non-native speakers to use English in their workplace.
There are several versions of TOEIC – TOEIC Listening and Reading, TOEIC Speaking and Writing and TOEIC Bridge.
The most popular is TOEIC Listening and Reading. It consists of 200 (100 – Reading, 100 – Listening) multiple-choice questions. Each module is assesses separately. The scale of each module ranges from 5 to 495. The total score is between 10 and 990.
The test is managed by ETS (Educational Testing Service).
Initially TOEIC started in Japan in the middle of the 70s. Today it is quite popular in Asia – South Korea, Thailand, etc., where many companies require it from the prospective employees.

It’s not a secret that you have to work really hard to pass this exam. Usually it takes about 200 hundred hours of learning to gain 100 points in TOEIC.
